A glimpse of life...
a lifetime of legacy
Christian James Taylor- a loving 19 year old, brother and friend- should be alive today. "CJ," as he was affectionately known, should be looking forward to the next chapter in his life as he would not be prepared to end his second year at Angelo State University and looking forward to entering his third year this fall. Tragically, and without lawful justification, Christian's life was taken though an act of reckless homicide by former Arlington Police Officer Brad Miller.
Christian Taylor was born October 13th, 1995, and was the youngest child of three sons of Adrian and Tina Taylor. His home was filled with love and caring. He was a bright and thoughtful child who brightened each room that he entered. Christian had the innate ability to attract people and left impressions on everyone that was blessed to have met him.

He attended Miller Elementrary in Arlington and earned membership into the Gifted and Talented Club. After elementary school, he attended Young Middle School and Wester Middle School, in Arlington, where he continued to excel. He was consistently on the A & B Honor roll and took AP classes in math, english and science. His spirituality and leadership began to come more into focus during these formative years, leading his 8th grade football coach Mr. Pringle, to proclaim that he was going to be like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Growing up in a sports-minded household, Christian Taylor excelled in the classroom, as well as on the field. After graduating from Mansfield Summit H.S. as an honor roll student, Christian started the next chapter of his legacy at San Angelo University on a scholarship to play football on the college level. Emerging as a brilliant student athlete, Christian was well on his way to having a very promising future. Christian had a strong belief that everything happen's for a reason, and he would want nothing more than to see himself as a sacrifice in the hopes to lead to change in ourselves and our community. After 2 long years, the Now I Am Christian Foundation serves as a beacon that his sacrifice and his legacy will not go in vain.
While attending San Angelo in the last chapter of his blessed life, his success continued and his relationships deepened. Christian's infectious smile and giving soul touched many. He became a math tutor to other college students, and took it upon himself to personally minister the word of God to anyone willing to listen. As a child, Christian was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Fort Worth. As he became older, with sharing his faith, he also grew in the word and became a dedidated member of Koniona Christian Church in Arlington in 2014. Through the word and life lessons, Christian lived a very humble, caring lifestyle. He was not perfect, no one is, yet he brought sunshine and delight to many of his classmates, teamates, friends, family, and the community. The Now I Am Christian Foundation, will honor that very legacy.
